Who am I?

Hi! I'm Jonathan (Johnny) Leathem, an outgoing and passionate problem-solver with a love for technology, mathematics, and creativity. My mission is to make the world a better place through technology and innovation. Other passions of mine include martial arts (specifically MMA), the gym, and youth leadership. Within the world of technology and mathematics, I am particularly interested in the eciting world of data science, machine learning and its applications to prediction models, trading and finance. Overall, my code is clean, efficient, and maintainable, backed by a solid understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. Most importantly, I would like to believe I am a pleasant person to work along side. My Projects

News Aggregator - Wing It

Contributed to a group project where I worked within a team of 8 to develop a functional bias detection web application with a dynamic JavaScript-based front end, a Python (Flask)-based back end, a MySQL database, and AI integration using LLMs (OpenAI) for natural language processing tasks. I also helped in implementing the front-end, alongside the data analysis involved in bias detection and database management.

Tkinter Game - "Asteroid Meltdown"

Built an asteroid game using the Tkinter library in Python that features dynamic difficulty adjustment, object movement, collision detection, and scoreboards that persist.

Tesla Stock Predictor - "Where's Elon?!?"

A Tesla Stock Predictor project that uses historical stock data, financial indicators, and machine learning to predict Tesla's future stock prices. The project involves data collection, cleaning, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation. The goal is to build a model that predicts price movements, helping investors make informed decisions.
